If you have been contacted by a company called Convention Housing, or any other company claiming to have cheaper rooms at the official hotels for Tobacco Plus, do not give them your credit card information. They are currently offering rooms at the Hard Rock at $89 and the Hard Rock has no knowledge of this company and has no block or agreement with them.
Typically, guests who fall prey to such schemes arrive at their destination to find that no reservation exists, or that it had existed at one time but has been canceled at the last minute (leaving the guest both without a room and liable for a cancellation fee). To make matters worse, by freely giving a credit card number to such companies, attendees give up their ability to dispute any wrongful charges.
Note VIP Meetings & Conventions is the only official housing company for Tobacco PLUS. We will not charge your credit card, only the hotel will charge your credit card.
